dead rock

Hello all i have some old dead rock that has been sittig in my back yard for some months and was wondering if its ok to just rinse it off and put it in my tank or will it need to cure? I put some of it out there almost a year ago. Some of it is just some dry rock from brs. Thanks so much for your help.

I'd be inclined to let it soak for awhile. You have no idea what has happened to it outside. What if the neighbor's dog watered it!

ok i will should there be a mild bleach solution say 1/8 a cup to fiftey gallons or should i just use hot water. our back yard it fencedso no dogs except ours and ours dont go out back there
