Dead Skimmer

Well I came home this evening and decided to fiddle with the skimmer and to put it in a nut shell it's toast. The flow adjuter is broke off at wide freakin open so it takes about 20 seconds for it to fill the collection cup and start overflowing. So now I need to buy a skimmer for a tank/sump that holds about 75 gallons of water and will hang on and fit in the foot print of a coralife superskimmer 220. Brands and models?

If you have to use a hang on the back i would look at the turboflotor multi. I have used just about all the hob's from personal use or work and the turboflotor is my favorite.

if you have a sump you but no room in it for a skimmer you could always use an external. I am currently using an H&S a110 and LOVE it!

Any more suggestions? I have no room in the sump/refugium as I designed it around the coralife 220 being a hang on. Also I'm working with a height restriction on an in sump skimmer.

The coralife 220 was a collection cup too high to fit so I designed the sump around it being a hang on as far as the intake and return.

I'm also full up on room to use an external as it would be sitting on the floor which won't cut it.

There really aren't many "good" hob skimmers to suggest. Part of my problem if I decide to upgrade over 37 gallons be quiet Jim lol
Sounds like Matt thinks the turboflotor is a decent skimmer. I think Terry has recommended them too. Or you could replace your coralife with a new one.

Darn. I was gonna barter me a fry tank setup for the carcass but Coralife wants it back amd they are shipping me a free replacement.
