Dead Skunk cleaner shrimp

I need a little help. I'm trying to figure out if I'm at fault or if this happens sometimes.

Last night I had to take apart more of my LR in the 20L to catch a sixline. I put everything back in and did a 25% WC. This morning I noticed that my SCS was very sluggish and not acting normal. I touched it with the net and it jetted across the tank and settled on the sand bed. and didn't move. Then I noticed that in each swimmerets there was a crap ton of green eggs. I thinking around 200 total. I disregarded the symptoms and attributed it to the egg laying/moving process. There is no male and up until now I didn't realize she was female so I knew they wouldn't hatch. I actually received her almost exactly a year ago (in which she was 1-1.5inches) which leads me to think she was around a year and a half old. I came home and she is now dead. Almost all of the eggs are gone (my bet is the clowns found a yummy snack). Anyone else have this? Was the eggs a last ditch effort before she died? I have to believe that there wasn't that much wrong in terms of water quality or she would have aborted them and not went through all the work.

i'm not sure then. my skunk died a couple months ago along with my pods in prior tank. i think i had something on my hands when i reached in. if your pods are fine, i'm not sure. maybe complications from laying eggs???

perhaps it is too rapid change in water condition. I lost a shrimp that I had more than 2 years when I did 15g water change on a 34g tank.
