Dead SPS Signs?

I kind of have a stupid quesiton here. I'm not sure if this is the right forum. I just started to get in to SPS corals and I got a frag pack from a local guy.

All my new corals appear to be doing well, except for one...maybe two. I'm concerned that it might be dead. Can it be dead without it bleaching?

The coral is a Green Slimer. It was bright green in the guy's tank and slimy..LOL. When it was in my tank it was slimy...then it started to bleach a bit. Then it regained its color. Now the color is a lighter green...but not bleached. Actually, it now has brownish/greensih look to on one side and towards the top. I've also seen snails on the slimer. So is this guy dead? Is it just unhappy? Maybe I should move it so it has less light and flow?

I also have a tri-color stack that looks fine, but I noticed that the tip has changed to a green color. I'm not sure if that is normal.

The rest of the corals appear to be doing well. My Blue Cali Tort, Baby Blue Tip Stack, Green Cap, Orange Cap, Birdsnest...they are all doing very well.

If snails are on a particular section it may be indicative of decay there. On the other hand, if a portion of the coral is green, that portion is alive, but deeply retracted. Check your water quality. They like high flow and a lot of light. You may be able to frag off the bad portion: you cut about a quarter inch of good tissued coral off and discard with the bad, to make sure you have a clean cut that will grow and heal. Steve's right: photos help.

Unless it's green with a film algae, which I've seen happen.

Thanks guys. I'll see if I can take a picture after work and post it up here. The water quality is pretty good. There are a few small things I'm working on. Here are the paramaters.

Temp: 80
SG: 1.025
Ammonia: 0
Nitrates: 0
Nitrites: 0
Calc: 380 (trying to get this up slowly)
Alk: 7.4 (trying to get this up slowly)
Ph: 8.2 - 8.4 (crappy test) I need to get this down.

Lighting 4x54 T5 (75gal tank). The corals are up high as well. I also have a Tunze 6060, 802 powerhead, and the return from my sump. So somewhere around 220gph of flow in my tank.

I finally got to take a pic of the slimer. It was a bright green. Now it is a pal green with brown stuff. Is this guy dead?

What can I do to save it? The guy I bought it from said he never fed it. He had MH and I have T5s. I also dose with phyto. Should I also dose with some zoo?

Crap! I thought the Green Slimer was a relative easy SPS to keep. I read that Bird's Nest is hard to keep, but it looks like it is doing well. Any ideas what may have killed it?

The water params look good, plenty of flow and light. Do you think the shock of the move killed it or if it was unhappy with the light and/or flow?

When they're green like that, it's generally sign of a green boring-type algae. Not a whole lot you can do about it unfortunately, especially for a coral that's stressed or unhealthy to begin with.

Your green slimer may still be alive. I believe those brown specks are the polyps. My slimer has green polyps but they possibly could change colors if the conditions aren't right. The base looks damaged. If it gets any worse, I would probably frag it to save any remaining branches. Back in october, I bought an nice blue tipped digitata which after a few days showed some RTN. I fragged them and today all frags have shown nice color and growth.
