Deadly slime

I noticed a soft whitish slime "mold" like growth under a rock - but didn't really worry about it. BIG MISTAKE ...

Recently, it has "attacked" several corals ( Green Slimer, Orange Cap, Blue Cloves and THE STRAW THAT BROKE THE CAMEL'S... my Australomussa rowleyensis).

The slime covers part of the coral and kills that section OVER NIGHT.

Anybody know what it is and how to destroy it?

Thx for looking and thx for thoughts.

Best pic I could get.
Damage done.

This coral was approx 1.5" away from the "slime".

I'll probably dip this last coral.
The others ...
Green Slimer - I cut off the affected portion ( about 2" of the base) and it has been fine. ( actually looks better, now that it's farther from the lights : )

Orange Cap - discarded the "pedal" that was slimed.
Blue Cloves - no treatment. Small area was killed (turned black) - about the size of a dime.

Australomussa - I moved the coral away from the slime/mold/fungus and manually removed the mess of destroyed flesh and slime. The coral quickly responded by returning to a healthy state ( from shrunken / tight to the skeleton).

I also have that "slime mold" looking thing in my tank. Any one know what it is and how to get rid of it? I have no corals around it but i dont want it to travel to them.

Well, best answer I could get was from Bob Fenner ...

Nutrients on rock are feeding the growth.
kick up the circulation period... do you use, measure RedOx/O3?

Hope this helps anybody with the same issue.
