People in the lower 48 think it is so dangerous up here in Alaska with the Bears and Moose. It can be I supposse, if you are not paying attention and using common sense; or if you happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Still, based on these numbers I have a lot higher chance of dying in Yosemite than on a trail up here, including climibing Denali!

Granted, a lot of this sadly was due to sheer human stupidity, ignorance, or over confidence. Still sad none the less. Be carfeul out there Doug!
