dealing with poop

I've got poop... and lots of it. I'm not sure if it's fish poop or critter poop, but I've got it. I'm getting tired of vacuuming it up every couple of days - anything I can do about it? Detrius eaters?

FWIW... I have a 30long with a 2" or so sand bed, about 20lbs LR, a smallish maroon clown and flametail blenny (think a bicolor blenny that poops a lot). I feed 1-2x per week (usually flake, occasionally frozen mysis or brine), no additives or anything. I've got a serpent star, an emerald crab, a few scarlet reef hermits, a few blue legs, a few zebra hermits, a fighting conch, a few nassarius snails, a handful of cerith snails and a couple of turbos.

Thoughts?

Sounds like you need more flow to keep it suspended and get it into your skimmer or out in a water change. JMO

Second that...what do you have for flow right now? It doesn't sound like you feed a lot and you have a pretty good cleanup crew.

But really the best thing is to just walk away and forget about it...lol!

I was thinking it might be a flow issue so I repositioned 2 of my koralias... we'll see what that does. Anyways...

I've got two Korilia nanos (240gphea) behind the rocks to help eliminate dead spots, I've got two korilia 1s (400gph ea), and two MJ 900s drilled for more flow (230+gph ea).

All told, that's (240*2) + (400*2) + (230*2) = 1740gph. I'm not sure my MJs are running all that efficiently though, so the actual number might be somewhat lower... closer to 1500gph. Some day I need to pull apart my overflow and clean up the plumbing somehow...
