Can corals die from being fed too much and then subsequently changing the frequency of feedings?
I lost most of my Aussie Duncan. I was excited about feeding it and began giving it brine and cyclopeze nearly twice a day. One stalk had begun to churn out nearly 12 new heads in less than a month.
At some point I stopped feeding daily. One night, after feeding I noticed the hard stalk of the coral puffing out. I figured new heads were going to pop out but the next day all of the skin peeled away.
I had previously noted (several weeks earlier) that the texture of the stalk was going from smooth to bumpy.
All of the other corals, ranging from softies to acros have not had any problems.
