help!
need some advice or consoling.have a 45 reef tank.all is ok and all fish alive for several years.wound up with a female Laboutes fairy wrasse.two weeks ago a dealer told me he had a super male.four days ago i put the fish in my reef after the dealer incubated and coppered it for about 10 days.day 1 fish hid.day two fish was out.some scatching no signd of ick, some irregular swimming, however the fish ate frozen mysis throughout the day.nothing bothered this fish.it got along well with the much smaller female.day three i wa away all day and when i came home i saw no signs of the wrasse.day four i found the wrasse dead lying on the sand.part of its head was gone i think through decomposition overnight.this was a big blow to my wallet and my love of these fish.there are no other wrasses in tank,no problems with other fish or female laboutes.please let me know of any ideas as to why this beautiful fish died?the day it was eating it had that swimming motion of fish i used to see that had been collected with cyanide,i was assured it was a MAC safe fish.
