Not according to live aquaria. they seem to think there temperment is peaceful

I used to have one, it never ate anything at least to my knowledge that it shouldn't have. imo they're a waste of money they always hide in the rocks

Do you have a reef,or FOWLR?

They also say reef compatibility is caution.IMO that means trouble.

ive got one in my 180, never hurt anything, but the only time i see it is at night with a flashlight.

I have one right now in my 75g. Came with the (used tank) setup and I threw him back in when I moved the tank. I've spent the last week tearing apart the rockwork to get him out after he kept eating my new toadstools. Never bothered my palys or mushrooms, but new finger leathers would be moved every night and toadstools were ripped off of their superglued posts and nibbled on. Lobster is out now and no problems with my corals for several days. Never noticed a problems with snails or crabs. Only would see him at 3am with a flashlight. He is currently in the refugium in my sump and I am going to make it a nice home for him with a DSB, some LR, and daily feedings.

I have had my lobster for 6 years and I am going to get rid of him this week. The reason...I came out to check on the tank ( I have a yellow tang, flame angel, royal dotty back, a maroon clown and a Longnose Hawkfish with a bunch of softies) and i see the lobster eating my longnose hawkfish. I have never had this happen and I am extremely ****ed. He's going to the nearest pet store sometime this week. He is lucky he's not going down the toilet!h
