so last weekend i installed my new sump and a tunze 6025..i have 2 of these but wanted to see how just one would do...anyway, the tunze really creates debris floating around that i hate..looks horrible...my hob cs50 overflow doesn't pull the junk down so it just floats...ideas--mights have to downgrade???

the tank is a 40b...return on the sump is a mag 5

thanks for the help

I wouldnt do anything its a good thing that it is doing this. In time everything will sooner or later go over the overflow and into the sump for the skimmer to take it out. Use filtersocks on your drain in the sump to catch as much as possible so what the skimmer doesnt remove doesnt settle in the sump and also return into the tank through the return pump

I agree with tanya72806, the pump is doing you a favor. Keeping that detris in suspension will help it get filtered out, it may just take some time for it to happen. Otherwise all of that junk will sit in your tank, possibly giving you high nitrates. If you want to speed up the process use the filter sock, like suggested above, or maybe even a HOB canister filter.
