Hey Folks,
We hope your day has gotten a great start and wanted to give you an update on the December meeting. We appreciate your understanding and hope to see you for the revamped event.
What is going on?
Due to unfortunate and very recent events we had to cancel our original location and original plans for the Dec. 14th meeting. We hope to move the plans onto our January meeting, so we will still be able to provide reef goodies and eye candy!
Why?
Without going into too much detail, Ralph's shop (not to be confused with Max R/Central Aquariums!!) will be out of service for now due to a disaster in the nearby building which has impacted Ralph's ability to host us. He hopes to have us in the near future.
What's next?
Since finding out this unfortunate news (our thoughts are with the people that may have experienced a loss of person and/or property) we have worked to find a new establishment that can host our size, provide a weekend afternoon time slot, provide space for food stuffs, and tank stuff, with very short notice/turn around and be centrally located in the 5 boroughs.
Through that search, we were able to make new partnerships, chat with old friends, but none were able to meet the needs without a huge sacrifice for this particular meeting/holiday party. However, we procured new hosts for next year's line up!
So, given that we still want to have a Holiday meeting, and since the essence of this club is really to be a family of reef hobbyists, we have come up with the best option for the current situation:
New Details:--- True RSVP only since food is homemade
RSVP:
www.nyreefclub.com
We will also send an email out to the listserve and the folks that have already RSVP'd.
We appreciate your understanding and hope that your positive thoughts are also with the folks that may have experienced loss and major hardship.
If you have any questions please email us:

We look forward to the New Year.
