I put my yellow gargonian about 1/3 of the way up my tank with good water flow and full light. Would that be okay? Because the last gargonian I had needed very little light, and I just dont know about this one.:eek1:
They dont need any light. They are non photosynthetic. Keep it in a med flow area though. That being said only a few choice people have been able to keep these alive for very long. Gorgonians, along with carnation corals are best left in the ocean. They need a healthy supply of micro foods. This is rather hard to do in a closed system. Do you still have the first one?
My first gargonian was a blueberry and I had it for about 2 years then it slowly died off. That is why I bought another gargonian, but someone told me that the yellow gargonian was a very hardy one.
