Deep water Caribbean Reef

Good evening everyone!

I figured now would be as good a time as any to post about one of my newest projects. I have long been a fan of the deep reefs of the Caribbean, and I absolutely love basslets. So a deep water Caribbean basslet tank seems like a good idea. This has been in the planning states for some time and I finally have the resources to proceed.

The main display will be 36 inches long, 16 inches wide and 30 inches tall.
Lighting will be provided by LEDs and will be kept very dim, the primary source of lighting will be ambient room.

I plan on keeping the water temperature around 70 in the summer and 65 in the winter.

First on the list to be added will be a pair of Lipogramma klayi.
I will be sure to keep this thread alive, as I am very excited about this project.

Thanks guys, I have a good source for the fish I plan on adding, and I am building the tank from 3/8" glass. Hopefully this will go together very quickly.

I will be adding a mated pair of L. carmabi. My plan is to keep each species of fish in either a pair or small groups depending on how they are typically found in the wild.
There are a few fish that I have been waiting a long time to acquire and I am very excited to have located the majority of them.

This is a great idea Michael. I look forward to seeing your progress. Do post pictures.

Perhaps a Prognathodes Aya can be in the plan?

I'm sure you know what you want to do, but I love the blue reef chromis that are in the caribbean, might be a nice addition.

Thanks for the recommendation.
There are a few chromis species that I have been looking into as dither fish. But most of the deep water species are not quite as gregarious as some.
