Deepest t5's can penetrate?

What is the deepest 80wt t5s can penetrate for decent par?

I have marsaqua leds and can grow corals at the bottom of my 43" deep tank, but I want better color from my fish. My buddy has an ati and very similar fish but he has better spectrum from his t5s than I can get from my leds obviously.

43" is very deep. Have you considered simply adding some of the giesemann or Hamilton t5ho two bulb retrofits to your LEDs to make a combo. Would fix your complaints of overall color, but still have adequate punch. I don't know that I'd want to try t5ho on a tank that deep. Could be wrong

Not sure how helpful this info is bur with the fixture 9" above water my 6/39w T5, w/4 ATI Blue + and 2 Super Actinic bulbs is giving me 280 PAR on the sand bed 24" deep.
