deltec mce300. not working.

i just got my deltec mce300 that i ordered today for my solana. its all set up and i plugged it in and it's really loud and i have to keep the air valve closed or it looses suction instantly. what is wrong? can i do anything? thanks!

Thank you for the response. The Skimmer can be sensitive as the air intake valve needs to be adjusted for proper performance. First prime the entire skimmer with the air valve closed. Then slowly open the valve only a 1/4 turn at a time until the foam is produced.

it produces foam but it doesn't reach the cup.

you have to give skimmers time to break in. it can take a month to break in. patience is key with skimmers, it could take a few days or a month before it starts collecting skimate like it should.
