Deltec sc 1456 gurgling

Hi guys.
My skimmer model above has started gurgling. When I block the silencer with my finger the gurgling stops.
Anyone know why this is and how to fix it.

Inlet restricted/cavitating?

With any skimmer though...First thing is to give it a good cleaning and breakdown/clean the pump/airlines,etc...
A nice soak in vinegar/water works great too

Thanks guys... I'll try to give all the hoses a good clean. My first tank and skimmer... will have to YouTube how to clean.. and hopefully not break anything!!

Bloody nails!! So I started cleaning an found that 2 snails were clogging up the inlet . Thanks or the tips an advice! Running near silent now

Yeah, that has happened to me 2-3 times on my skimmer... At least I know exactly what the problem is when I see it now.
