So I have several dendros, I have noticed that some of the new ones that I get die. They are out the first day and eat and then dont come out and then go down hill. The other ones in my tank are fine...
I just tested my alk and it was 6.4, which I know is low and I am slowing increasing

anyway, I was wondering if this happened to anyone else or if anyone else has any lessons learned

thanks Frank

I'm guessing dendrophyllia. If you are feeding the first day you get it, maybe the food is not being digested properly as the coral is still adapting. Since your water parameters are off this might be stressing the new coral, while the older corals were able to slowly adapt. Since the food is not being digested properly, or fast enough, it causes a bacterial infection from the inside out. Just a guess. You should test all of your water parameters.

thanks
I did, the calc was 420 and salinity 1.025..... I will retest the alk this morning after I bumped it up yesterday
