Dendro question

After I purchased my Dendro it stayed open actually all the time. I made some changes to the water flow and maybe this is the problem. Water flow is weaker around the Dendro. Now only the baby dendro is opened and pretty well and the main one is closed most of the time. Does it mean the baby doesn't need so much flow and the adult dendro does?

It can take time for any coral to settle in when changes are made. I would give it some time to see how it reacts. If a couple months after the changes you're getting the same results then I would try to push more water past it.

Not a dendro, but with my Duncan's such spawn similarly...here's my pattern.

Coral head will close for no reason for several days, then the baby start to be visible. Then the main coral opens partially and after a few days the baby fully opens. Then a few days to a week later the main head and baby will both be open. Remember to feed them to encourage growth and to replace energy used by them multiplying

Was the baby and main head ever both open at the same time before you moved the flow?

I don't think so. The baby was a tiny orange spot but no visible tentacles. Once the baby started to open the main polyp started to close up. So it looks like the same pattern that you observed. Interesting. I feed them both every 2-3 days, sometimes everyday.
