Many species only live for 1.5 - 2 years maximum in the wild, so don't expect to see more than that in captivity.
There are several people keeping them alive for about that long these days, but it requires TONS of feeding (preferably continuous), and a very efficient nutrient management system.
I believe people are having more success with Dendronepthya sp. over Scleronepthya sp.
