I am about to fill a 120 I drilled where the sump returns to a spray bar across the bottom of the tank. However I recently read that the check vavles from HD/Menards have metal parts in them and will corrode.
Having read this I went and purchased a clear pvc check valve, the flap type. Soon after I read that these too fail and the flap needs to be replaced about every 9-12 months. I don't even see how I could replace the flap....
So basically does anyone know if there are any valves that are dependable enough that I can go out of town a few days and not worry ill come home to 120 gallons on the floor? Otherwise im going to have to scrap the spraybar
TIA
