I'm receiving my first clam on Monday. I have a 24' deep aquarium (120g) with one 175w mh and 2*96w PC. Can I leave it on the bottom? Should it anchor to a rock? Does it need to be closer to the MH?
What kind of clam is is? With your depth of 24" the 175 MH is a little weak for a clam as you need intense lighting for T. clams for good health and good colourlation.
Oh, know I see it is a T. derasa. I know that some people put there derasa and squamosa under PC lighting and do ok but I perfer stronger lighting for my clams as stated above.
Feed your tank some DT's or LiquidLife as they like that.
