oh thats well ok, i had a reef tank and purple reef lobster ate my deresa. i know stupid to put together but got both for free

Aren't these clams the ones that need the least amount of lighting?

Derasa clams, and maxima clams need mh. Gigas and squamosa you could get away without using mh.

Deresa's are not as light demanding as your maximas and croceas imo. I've several people sucessfully keep them under PC and VHO's. They like to be on the sand as they really don't stick their foot on a rock like your maximas and croceas. They also generally get pretty large and the one I have has grown very quickly.
