Design for use?

I just got my wireless driver upgrade today and can not open the enclosure! It is very frustrating to spend over $80 on something and not be able to use it. The wired enclosure with screws was a much better design!

From the back of the driver, insert a utility knife blade carefully so as to press the tab back slightly. You can now peel off the cover on that side. Repeat on the second tab the same way.

I was able to open the enclosure with a flat-head screwdriver but in the process the outer ring around the snaps broke off of the back plate. The enclosure still functions but I expected more from this (expensive) product.
Two other gripes that I have:
Why were the size and location of the mounting holes changed? This is frustrating for users upgrading their existing driver. The mounting holes in the wireless driver are really small!

The clear window for the LED was not fully inserted. I had to apply a significant amount of force from the back side to fully seat it in position.

The boxes are shipped unclipped but it seems that they're becoming clipped during transit. This is the third time I've heard about it and judging from the posts here, I don't doubt that there's more people that experienced it too. I'll correct the packing procedure for this problem.

In the mean time, if you damaged a box and want a new one, just let us know at service@ecotechmarine.com. We'll send out a new one right away.

To safely open the box, perform the procedure that Melev described above: Slide a standard utility blade in the back of the box (where there is usually a decent gap), then slide the blade over to the left side of the box, in between the clip. Pry this side open, then move over to the other side and do the same. You might have to go back and forth but the box can be opened very easily with this technique. A screw driver will likely break the box.

To be honest I was the one that engaged at least one of the snaps. When I opened the package the first thing I noticed was that the enclosure was not fully closed. I instinctively tried to fully close it, not realizing it had to be open for cable attachment. I was not able to get the two parts to mate flush because of the clear led insert not being fully inserted.

I would recommend shipping the upgrades fully unassembled or with a warning label
inserted between the two parts of the enclosure saying not to close before attaching the pump cable.
