I'll start by saying Desjardini's are hands down my favorite fish. I had one as a rookie and quickly re-homed it. Ever since, I have been waiting to get tank large enough to have another. The 350 is that tank. Yesterday, I purchased a nice 3" specimen, he is in TTM right now.
Now my problem. My wife peeked in the backroom of another store yesterday and spotted a battered-looking Desjardini in an out of sight hospital tank.
We talked to the owner. He rescued 4 fish from a neglected tank about 6 months ago. This was the only survivor. He had fin rot and HLLE. He is now healthy looking but obviously not a trophy fish. He is scarred and has a few splotches that will never heal. But I hate to see him live out his life in that small a tank.
So is a 10' 350 enough space for a pair of Desjardini if they get introduced together? They would be the only Zebrasomas, although there are other tangs.
