Detrivores....

Hey all. Im still battling nitrates. I added a fuge some time ago, and I am working on upgrading my skimmer. I need to add more detrivores to my display and fuge too. I have plenty of nas snails in the display.... but want to add some to the fuge too. I need some good fuge critters, since I have raw tank water fedding the fuge and detritus accumulates to some degree. I plan to add 2 tiger tail cucumbers and 10 or 15 nas snails to the 30g fuge (Contains a DSB, LRR, and macro algae). Any other ideas? I also need someone to help me obtain some bristle worms and mini/micro stars.... :)

Any other advice is appreciated!

IMO a bigger skimmer will give you a bigger punch at removing nitrates.

For the interim, increase your frequency of your water changes.

May I also suggest a product found at MarineDepot.com called
A-Z NO3...This will also allow you the time to handle the high nitrate level prior to purchasing a larger/bigger protein skimmer.
