koralia 1s are just pants imo, i know they apparently push 400 gals each but mine was so pathetic i replaced them, still i suppose as the tanks 20 gallon they should do the job,try sending a pm to chris121277 who is active on here, he had exactly the same problem with a toadie, and it took him weeks to get his to recover, but it did finally, he may be able to help:)

Thanks Michael, you've been a great help as usual, I'll pm Chris and see if there's anything I can still do.

What I've noticed with my koralias is that the intake sides get clogged up with algae and detritus pretty quick and diminish flow but after I clean them the flow is just crazy but I'm assuming it's so noticeable because my tank is small.

Hmmm I own one I have a two Koralia 3 in a 50G breeder tank near the bottom low lighting I run 6 T-5s. but he love the flow in my tank extends nicely when both pumps running.

well this isnt a debate about koralias, just the koralia 1, ive owned lots of powerheads, and imo the k1 is pants, im sorry if any offence has been caused, thankfully not everyone thinks like me

None taken at all man everyone has their own experiences with things in this hobby. Some people even have seaclone skimmers working really good for them, others wouldn't use it even it was free

Well the leather's completely gone now, fully degraded and the head fell off..

I'm not as frustrated that the the coral died but more frustrated as to why it happened. Anyone have any ideas?

My elegance, which according to some other reefers, is a hard coral to keep has been thriving and is even hosting my two false percs. So I don't understand how a hardier species of coral can die
