To those of you interested in a short road trip in the name of bettering your reefs, we (DFWMAS) are hosting our annual next wave conference. Every year we host 4 speakers in a friendly environment with a major raffle

This year we have

James Featheree speaking about clams
ORA is coming out to tell us about the aquaculture
industry (what has been accomplished as well as what is in the
works)
Sandy Shoup will be discussing the tiny lifeforms in our
sandbeds
and
Mike Paletta (topic TBA)

Btw, the date of the conference is Saturday, January 27th. The conference will run 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM.

My apartment will be open to anyone who wants to come down Friday night or stay over Saturday. Do be warned, however, that the first couple of takers on that offer might get a bed. Otherwise, it's the floor and a sleeping bag. It is free, however, and I can provide some drinks and have a tiny reef to enjoy...
