DI Resin refill

Does anyone buy their DI refills locally? I've found some good deals online, but would like to spend my money locally if I could. Any water quality shops around?

Thanks!

Dave

Dave, Bet Nancy and Dave Knowles at The Golden Lamb would order them for ya. They will usually order anything I want. I bet Denise at Aquatic Atmospheres and Dawn at Sunrise Aquatics would too. Since they are members of SWAM they'd probably even bring them to a meeting if you asked real nice. Sue

Very good idea Sue! I'd rather give my money to a LFS then some water place. ;) I was just hoping someone would have this in stock. I know the chances are slim though.

Hey Dave,
That box that had the cartridges also had some bags that I am guessing might be the stuff you need.
I will look into it tomorrow.

Do you know what type it is... I had a SpectrPure that changed color whrn it was spent... I know that one can be recharged by flushing it with some sort of chemical solution, depends on the cartridge, anion or ionic...

could try calling Craig Winter too at Advanced Quality Water Solutions ( aka EnvirInvestigations)) too.. not sure of his number, should be in the phone book, a pretty straight up gy, I dealt with him when I worked at the lab and he has fixed many of our water issued here at home..

I have his number. There is a new sign in Farmindale and I stopped thinking it was a store. I was a well drilling place and they just refer people to him.

I have color changing in there now and it's getting close to spent. Some people told me the non-color changing stuff worked a little better, but I don't really care what I use. Amazingly enough I have 0ppm TDS readings after the RO membrane. So the DI isn't really doing that much.

You can purchase it from www.buckeyefieldsupply.com I have 2 refillable DI canisters just for things like that. They sell decent amounts (single refill, 5lb bag of resin, etc)

Or you can purchase it by the cubic foor from resindepot.com That's where the value of belonging to a club comes in, IMHO.

Expensive up front, but if a lot of people got in on the deal, you could have several recharges for cheap. Resindepot also sells the seperate cation and anion too. I've been meaning to do dual DI, and that would be perfect. As Denise mentioned, they can be recharged when they're separated.

Yes, I'm a mail-order animal... sorry guys. The retail members of SWAM could also benefit from a bulk order by offering new mixed-bed cartridges DI for cheap.

just my $.02
