Dialectric grease?

Does anyone use dialectric grease on your power compact pins? I just upgraded my endcaps from the original ones supplied in my kit from AH Supply i bought many years ago. They were terrible and the new ones aren't that much better but they do kinda lock in place. I had one of the old endcaps short out when I was gone and thankfully it burned itself out before major damage was done. My canopy has some serious smoke damage but thats easy to deal with considering what could have been. Anyway, we are running these things in a harsh environment and was wondering if anyone has used grease to slow down the corrosion .

well i dont see why not as long as it's not coming in contact with the water. I've used it on tractor trailers for years on electrical connections. Work's great to keep down the corrosion especially with the amount of salt spray they see in the winter time here in MN.

As long as it's out of the water, go for it. I use it for my trailer, downrigger, and shrimp pot hauler wiring pins on my boat -- all of which are occassionally or regularly hit or submerged in salt water. The stuff is amazing for preventing corrosion.
