diamond goby= bad?

doublejesus

bring on the price cuts!
I have a pretty mature 180gal setup and was looking for a sand sifter but I heard these guys don't have good survival rates? Is that true only for smaller tanks or larger ones as well?

Also, I have a leopard wrasse, would a diamond disturb it too much when it hides?

Recommend another sand sifter?

I've kept the same guy for about 2 years now. He eats when everyone else eats, along with whatever he gets from the sand. I have plenty of pods to go around, I have a 3 year old mandarin as well.

Diamond gobies are notorious jumpers though, so beware. Once they settle in though, they're great fish. They can and will spit sand on corals at times though, build tunnels in your sand bed, etc.

mine does the same. he eats brine shrimp and pellets that get past the rest of the fish.
I have always kept one in my system to keep the sand nice and clean.
They do a great job!!!
