Diamond Goby Question

LOL, I love how your goby moves the hermits around! I wish my sand bed could support one. Unfortunately, I got 1-2mm sized aragonite sand.

Yea, he gets ral upset when a hermit is near his hole. One got in it last week and he was going bezerk trying to get it out. Talking about a sandstorm!

Now my sand is really clean and snow white.. only problem is now i've got sand all over my water column... Didn't think the effects of a small goby sifting sand would have much of an impact on my 180 gallon tank... guess i'm wrong...

I would run some extra mechanical filtration (sock, floss, etc), and just give it some time (like a month).... you will need to change socks daily... I purchased 6 and put 5 at a time in the washer at the end of the week.

Once my initial sandstorm subsided the sifting didnt result in much sand in the water column.
