Ok
I picked up a Diamond Goby
Very cool fish, fun to watch
HOWEVER!!!
My DT has been a cloudy mess because of his sifting and burrowing.
I knew he was a sifter and burrower but it didnt even dawn on me that the particles would be floating around in my water all the time

Is this temporary or will this just be how my tank looks as long as hes in there.

it will settle down after some time, mine did the same when I put one in my tank. He's stirring up anything that was in your sand bed. Just change or wash out your filters often.

ok
Ill give him some time
He very entertaining, Im glad i made sure my rock is on the glass bottom though. i could see how he could cause a rockslide.

After a while your sand won't have much to kick up, which is one of the nice parts of having him, he keeps that sand bed CLEAN.

+100 on both things said, jumpers and it will clear up. I've had mine a yr or so, and just added a smaller 1 in my tank. Was hoping they would stay on opposite ends of 11'ft tank, but they have actually paired up and stay together now(which isn't to bad either)

side note: don't leave any frags on the sand bed, he will bury them in a few hours, otherwise he will keep your sand bed very clean and is fun to watch, mine lives in my fuge since I keep corals on the sand bed too.

Thanks everyone for the input
My snails and crabs seem to quickly recover from the constant kidnapping
He has calmed down a bit, water has mostly cleared up, I've gone through 3 filter socks in the process

I wouldn't worry about it. He's getting good by sifting. My previous one would eat food but the current one does not. I lost one that jumped into my overflow and surfed down my drain and got stuck in my skimmer pump

no, mine sifts sand for fauna and he is an absolute pig for frozen or pellets, only thing he doesn't seem to like is flakes, otherwise he eats every frozen food I have tried.

I haven't heard or read anything about them eating pods, except maybe as a side effect to sifting sand.
