Diamond Goby Suicide

This morning I woke up and found a dried up Diamond Goby on the top glass of my tank. I only had him a week.
This is the second Diamond Goby to jump out of my tank.

Any suggestions on keeping them? Or another fish to sift sand instead?

Thanks!

Sorry for your losses. You probably need to cover the part of the tank that is allowing them to jump out. You could try some egg crate or some kind of netting to do the trick.

ive had mine for about a month now, feel lucky seeing that i have nothing covering the top of my tank. he seems content digging holes then covering them back up.

sorry for your loss, i know he is probably my favorite in my tank.

The only exposed part is the back (maybe 2 inches or so) where I have the hang on skimmer and entrance for the filter. I like the netting idea, I'll give that a try!

Thanks!

It's a possiblility that it's tank mates are picking on them.

prob some kind of cover.... that is strange to hear for me at least. ive had a blue diamond one for awhile he just sits at the bottom of the tank and plays mr. watchman. picks up snails and hermits and carries them away if they get too close to his cave...lol
