Diamond Jack's Red Sea Reefer 525xl

I just set mine up (again) on saturday, moved to the area, left my corals in CO but will have them shipped in a few days once I make sure the water parameters are in order

smart move there. You are lucky to have someone that will do that for you.

diamond: thinks are looking good as expected. :)

Really smart move not trying to get a tank with corals setup during a move. It is already hectic enough. Without trying to save corals.

Thanks! Its nice to have fish and corals in the tank. Now I'm working on nutrient export to deal with feeding so much.

SUPER excited to have tracked down an ARC Poinsettia frag.

Since when did big maxima claims get so rare. Took me months to find one.

Tank seems to have settled into normal not new tank phase. Really happy I bought the red sea tank. I really like how quiet and sturdy the setup is.

I like the tank. This is one of the threads that has me considering diving back into the hobby. Keep the updates coming.

Thanks for the kind words. It would be great to see your build if you get back in after being out so long. It would be interesting to read about your thoughts on how things have changed. I find it funny trying to track down old school common corals that are like mia now. Remember when a shroom was almost worthless?

I'll post up whatever we decide to do for sure. I have some interior remodeling to do before I have a final place to setup a big tank again and I had to promise the wife that I'll finish that before I buy a large tank. I also had to promise that I'll just buy exactly what I want the first time rather than the constant deals on used goods and then upgrading I did last time.

I am scratching my head at some of the things that are now rare and/or expensive. Mushrooms were a dime a dozen when I had a tank. Some of the mushrooms that are going for a lot of money don't even look that nice to me. I guess it just means that the sticks and chalices that I still like are easier to come by now. Maybe a few of the people I gave my collection to will have frags for me in the future.

Looking very good Marius. Are you still ordering stuff from Algae Barn? How is your Phosphates and Nitrates?

I think I need to get some updated pictures going to.

I was going to hit up your build for an update. Haven't ordered any more. Was about to order some phyto for the clam, but ended up getting some phyto feast at aqua wurkz.

I have never tested phosphate or nitrate. Probably fine. Not getting any algea on the rocks since I started running some gfo. I change it about every 2-3 weeks if I notice i'm cleaning the glass too much.
