I'm bord..its sunday... so enjoy the pictures!

Feb. I recieved my little onyx from Rod. He instantly took to a digitata colony I had in the tank & started hosting in it. He even brought food to it to try to feed the digi. Slightly confused, but here he is when I first recieved him!

He was ignored by my resident perc for about 3 months. Where he eventually decided a digi was not a good host & he moved to my Alien eye zoanthids. Here he is at the end of march.

Then I got a plesant suprise in early may, he moved to a new host yet again ... My PPE's He also developed black lips! Very exciting.

Not long into may and my clowns finally started paying attention to each other... not exactly the attention I had hoped for though. The male was missing his dorsal one day, the next I found him in the overflow. The female chased him completly out of the tank a few days later. So I separated them. Heres another picture in may.

In june I decided to get a new host for the clown & get him out of my PPE's. With all my SPS I could not risk an anem. so I went with a frogspawn since it looked like many others had luck with rods onxy hosting in one. Instant sucess!

The first weekend in July I decided to try and re-pair the clowns together. Things looked very hopeful on day one! Here is the pair with the male trying to coax the female into his frogspawn home.

cool clown. I love that coloration...i'm going tomorrow morning to get my ocellaris pair, but after seeing this, i wish i'd looked for an onyx! altho they're prolly expensive?

Then day 2 they have a big fight and my onyx is chased into the overflow again. I put him back into the tank and the female grabs the male's pec and shakes. Down into the sump the Mrs. goes again.

So once again the onyx is alone in life. He wants to try to beef up thru out july and try to impress the woman again. If not he requested I get him either another onyx or a picasso clownfish girlfriend.
his tail stripe I thought would not fill in more than what he had in may but as you can see he's still filling in white.

IMO you are pulling him a little early. Is he showing submissive behavior that she is ignoring?
