diatom bloom - when can I add fish

High range ph 8.4
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 0
Phosphate 0

Decent.. are u getting 0 nitrate and phosphate naturally or are u using gfo, etc? Its good to have some phosphate and nitrate for coral growth.

Its best to add fish 1 month after adding CUC. 3 month cycle, 1 month CUC, add first fish. But some ppl add them much earlier..

That is natural without gfo. I am going to add corals first before fish. Or should I add fish first?

I added corals first. During the Cuc month. All the easy thingz like xenia, mushrooms, and easy zoas.. gives u something to do while waiting.

For the CUC to poop and further prepare your tank for incoming bioloads. If you have a sandbed, it helps make it live

You have phosphate leaking from rocks and sand.the algae is consuming them, so your test kits cant detect it. Its not in the water yet.

If it goes out of control, run phosphate in a reactor to absorb the extra phosphate.

For the algae, best to manual remove the long hair. Then run phosphate, cuc, n an algae eating fish. It will get better.

How long has your tank been running? It sounds like it's newly cycled w/ diatom bloom & algae on sandbed.
