So for past month or so been having diatoms on my sand bed on the regular. I have a ehime filter and even bought a reef octopus hob, which is awesome taking out so much nasty out my water but diatoms stay. All my parameters are good calc is a little high around 500 but that can't be it. Local fish store tried to get me to buy some phosphate and silicate removal chemicals but I'm not ready to go that route. They suggested a conch to move some sand but didn't know. Figured I would ask the brains here for help before I buy anything.
