Came home with a Six-line wrasse last evening. I acclimated him for about 3hrs and released him into the tank. When I put him in the tank the lights were off and the other fish were tucked away in the rockwork. The tank already houses a royal gramma, urchin, cleaner shrimp, yellow watchman and pistol, aong with some new nass snails and astrea and 1 red hermit.

The more I was reading about the six-line the more I found out he's not too compatible with the royal gramma and also may chew on an occassional shrimp from time to time. Should I worry?
So far he is sleeping in his coccoon so I don't know how his behavior will be when he wakes up.

Because he's last-in, he will certainly be meeker than if he had been first and the others last.
Just watch him.

Just for the record, you don't need to acclimate fish for 3 hrs.
Half hour to 45 minutes in enough time.

That wasn't the question. I always acclimate my fish this way and never had a problem.

Had mine kill off a royal gramma in my 50g and then my 5ft 75g, thinking that was enough space for both, I was deadly wrong. Good luck!

bummer...so far he is being shy towards the bottom. If so I have a 12 gallon nano tank which I have no fish in so if they end as foes someone will have to move there.

I have a gramma and a sixline together. You may have some aggression between them, but mine eventually worked it out. Also, your sixline as it gets more secure and ages will likely go after your shrimp. Once a sixline gets a taste for them, he will heat every shrimp you put in the tank.
