did i ruin my rock?

I am in the process of setting up my reef again. due to hurricanes and things i could not control my reef died a few years ago. i placed all of the live rock in a sterilite container put a lid on it and left it there for the last two years. last night i pulled the lid filled it with fresh water and started scrubbing the rock with a scotch brite kitchen scrubber(it was brand new). as im done scrubbing my brother grabs one of the sponges and is going to clean the tank when he sees on the package "not for aquarium use" well it was to late i had already scrubbed my rocks. so my question is...did I ruin my rock. they were going to be used as base rock but im afraid i might have gotten some antibacterial stuff on it which i know can cause probs in the tank. any help appreciated. thanks Josh

I wouldnt risk it. You could risk losing thousands of dollars in live stock.
