dieing xenia

I have had xenia's in my tank for a long time now. Started with on stalk and now have over10 main stalks. One of the main stalks arms is turning white and desicrating to the point of nothing. This main stalk has two main arms with one of the arms dieing should I cut off the dieing arm before it spreads or will this kill the whole stalk?

do you have any fishes that feed on corals because I had a xenia diing and it was my bicolor angelfish who killed it.

btw you can cut the diing branch the stalk won't die.

You have to make sure to cut far from the dying tissues so as to save the rest of the xenia's
