What is the difference between a chromis and a damsel? OR, are they the same? Any feedback or suggestions of reference sites would be appreciated. thank you.
Not much -- the chromis is a little more easy going compared to the damsels -- But considering that we are comparing a fish to a damsel that is not saying much --
They both belong to the family Pomacentridae, as do the clownfish. Chromis are a genus of small and generally peaceful fish and compared to the average damsel are much less aggressive. Here's a link to Fenner's site, wetwebmedia.
