Difference between DAS EX2 and BX2

On petorama they have a DAS EX2 and DAS BX2. It says they both are rated for 250g and both have 2 pumps. Also they both are the same price. However the BX2 is built in some kind of box. What is the difference between the two? Is one better than the other? What are the advantages to each?

Internal and external

how is the bx2 fed water? I am planning on running it in my sump and want to have a direct feed from my overflow. Can you direct feed the bx2? or would I have to get the ex2?

The BX is the insump/internal model. The EX is the recirculating/external model.

You cannot direct feed into the BX models.

There are several differences between insump and external skimmers.

I would recommend doing a search on external vs internal skimmer... or something similar

i have the bx2. it is in sump, and you cannot feed direct from overflow. the box sits in the water, and the pumps pull from inside.. it is a beast though.. they say the ex performs a little better since its recirculating, but both are amazing skimmers.
