this may sound silly, but i really do see a difference between live aquaria, divers den and etropicals livestock (health and looks wise)
if i can rate them, then live aquaria would be number one
followed by divers den
then last (i didnt like at all) etropicals
ive ordered tons and tons of livestock from live aquaria to fill 5 tanks at different occasions. nearly 100% of the time things were alive and in perfect health, parasite free etc. corals always in good health. a few doa's once in awhile, but i was quickly compensated for any loss.
divers den i only ordered corals, never any fish. the corals were so so, looked better on their website, problem is they came loaded with pests. all the zoas i bought at different times either came with apastia or spirals snails. the spiral snails ate all my zoas in a few short months
i got a peppermint shrimp for the apastia which took care of that pretty quickly.
but this has never happend with live aquaria. doesnt divers den look at their corals for hitchhikers? i mean the apastia had to be noticable. they all popped out the next day from the rocks, including a pearl bubble coral.
a few crabs came in on various corals as well, unknown and hairy.
now we get to etropicals, i only had one shipment and i didnt like it, it was bad enough for me to not order again. very tiny bags with little water.
a dwarf angel had some kind of twirling problem, not sure what it was, it died within a few hours.
the blenny had parasites. turbo snails were not active and seemed like they were on their last leg, other snails in the order were weak also. just a sad looking shape order in general.
i did get credit back right away for the angel, which i used for live aquaria.
so does anyone else see a difference with all three locations?
id like to order fish from the divers den but im a little hesitant being i had so many hitchhikers on the corals in the past.
are divers den fish parasite free since they use such a great QT method?
live aquaria is the best when it comes to ordering online, their packaging cant be beat. they ship fast and shipping fees are resonable.
i am a true fan of live aquaria
infact i will only setup my new FO with live aquaria's fish
