Got Reef?
This has had me all messed up for the past couple of weeks now. I have a 125g zoanthid tank. I dont even remember how many different colonies of zoanthids I have anymore. I have a large range of colony sizes as well as different frag sizes of zoanthids. About a month ago all of my zoanthids looked great. Nice PE, very bushy, wonderful growth. My nitrates were around 40ppm(This was a new tank with a lot of things coming from different established tanks. My refugium has also kicked in with the tank being 6 months old now). My zoas didnt mind the trates but my SPS did. . So over the past couple of weeks I got them down to >10ppm. Since then about half of my groups have been affected. They get skinny and stop opening. Then they turn brown. Other colonies will just separate into groups of like 20ish polyps. Some were once large single groups and now are all broken up. This said, the other half are doing great. Still nice growth, and PE, ect. My other water params are fine. No nudi's or other pests. I FW dip the zoas before they go in. I am also a night owl and spend a lot of time looking into the tank. I dont know... Any thoughts?
