different wrasse species compatibility?

I currently have a melanarus wrasse in my 180 gallon reef tank. We have a local guy that orders wholesale and sells to our club cheap. He has a wrasse that is listed as a flasher wrasse super male. This fish is stunning red and its fins are crazy long. Before I buy this guy I wanted to make sure that it would get along with my current wrasse? Any ideas or suggestions?

It should be fine, though their are occasions that melanurus can be aggressive toward other wrasses. Utilizing a social acclimation box can alleviate any such problems.

i second the acclimation box. i've used this method with every fish i have added to my 75g. as for wrasse compatibility, i have a yellow coris, pink fairy wrasse, vrolik's, and there has never been an aggression.
