Diffusers

Trying to understand the reasoning behind the diffusers. I read where they are great to minimize shimmer and give a softer look. Is that it? Does it help corals grow faster since light is diffused? Any other value?

Spreads the light more even across the tank. Without the beam is narrow cone shape

Gets rid of the rainbow effect in exchange for a slight drop in PAR.

I have removed my three diffusers again. the light was too weak with them.
I had to put my three g4 pro lamp from 80 to 100% and it was too little.
