digging damsel?

my substrate is 1/2 crushed coral (i've since learned its bad) and the opposite half is sand. Well, my purple w/ yellow tail damsel has been digging out the crushed, picking up the pieces one at a time and moving them about 6" away making a pile. He has been doing this for a few days, and has probably dug out a 2" hole, is this typical? what is he/she doing?

Mine too! He's dug a golf ball size hole under the largest piece of LR in the center of the display. What's the deal?

me personally, i would chuck 'em as far as i could throw 'em! certain damsel's i believe are very much a pain in my side, hope this help's...no but really, i would get him out and take him back to the lfs!

ya, i like them 2, this one doesn't bather anything, and is terrified of every thing. My brittle star moved into his usual haunt, so maybe he is trying to create a new one?
