Anyone have this module? I am debating on buying this module as i would like to know what my temp , pH, and salinity is with a push of a button.

I have the reef keeper lite with temp probe already.

I have heard that the salinity probe is not very accurate?

Feedback please?

I have this module, but it's sitting in a drawer. Bought it over a yr ago when salinity probes for DA came out, but they apparently had problems and production stopped. They then resurfaced, but I never bought one. I had added another PC4 which put my module total at 4 ( can't add any more till upgrade ). I haven't read anything on thier accuracy, but would love to know, as eventually I would like to add one for the same reasons as you. One good thing about the SL2 is, it allows you to run another temp probe.

Seems like I might get one for my ATO.. Might be a great way to add insurance : ) Have the pump turn off if it goes under -2 if the ATO switch failed...

It will be a little while before the SL2 is available from DA. They have a better design now for the salinity probe and both the probe and the SL2 should be shipping again in a month or two. I have seen more info on this on the DA support forum.

Thanks i guess there was an issue with it.

Actually the issues have been with the salinity probe, not the SL2 itself. Trying to make a salinity probe that is temperature compensated and accurate long term, at a price below $100, has proven to be very difficult. DA is determined to do it and I will be happy when they do.

is there any company out there that makes a probe that works?
