any idea when they might catch up to apex and release a remote controllable feature?(sp?) my buddy can turn things on/off via iphone with his apex and i totally want that!

Actually, digital aquatics just released their 2.0 firmware which let's you turn your items from auto/off/on using their net module through the web.

i thought i read that the 2.0 allowed you to monitor only, not actually turn systems on or off, i hope im wrong though

and i have another question for ya, what would you reccomend to use to get an ethernet connection to my net module? what i mean is, my darn modem is on the other side of my house than the net module, i need to feed it with an ethernet cable, i cant run a cable all the way to it, unless i have no other option, do they make any wireless adapter kinda thingy? what would u use?

Yes u can control using 2.0 you could monitor since 1.0. I used a dlink wireless bridge to extend my wireless network and then plugged my net into that.

There are also ethernet over power adapters that will use your houses electrical lines to send the singnal. Not ideal for a good connection but should be adequate for the reef keeper.

Do a search for wireless gaming adapter ( a form a bridge), they come in different form factors and will connect your net module to your wireless network.
